FireFly is an attenuator controller for MTS test equipment. The communication is very easy to setup. Before you begin though, you will need to know the IP address and port number of the MTS equipment. FireFly will use both of those to setup the communication.
The documentation for the MTS equipment states that only one connection to it is possible at a time. That means that all other applications that communicate with it should be closed before attempting communication with FireFly.
Once FireFly establishes a connection with the MTS equipment, you can start issuing commands to it to control the attenuators. The start (0x02) and end (0x03) bytes will automatically be added by FireFly. All you will have to do is enter the command you want issued and FireFly will take care of the rest.
If FireFly can establish communication with your MTS equipment, SkyJack can then be used to automate your testing with this equipment. Please contact us if you would like more information about how this automation can be setup.
